Lentil & Vegetable Cottage Pie

Deliciously comforting Lentil & Vegetable Cottage pie made with vegetable, green lentils and mixed sprouts, topped with buttery mash.

A great vegetarian alternative to Sunday lunch served with green vegetables, or eat straight from the pot for a hearty satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Filling (55%) [water, mixed vegetables (18%) (swede, carrot, parsnip), green lentils (13%), onion, sprouting beans (4%) (chickpeas, mung beans, adzuki beans, brown lentils), olive oil, tomato purée, cornflour, salt, black pepper], mashed potato (45%) (potato (Sulphites), sweet potato (32%), single cream (Milk), salted butter (Milk), salt, potato starch, white pepper).

Cooking Instructions

Microwave

Remove sleeve and pierce film lid in several places. Place onto a microwavable plate and heat on full power for 2 ½ minutes (800W). Allow to stand for 1 minute, then heat for a further 2 ½ minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute then remove film lid (you may need to use scissors or a knife) and serve.
