How to peel ginger

Use a spoon! A tablespoon is the easiest way to peel ginger. Just scrape away the skin with the edge of a spoon, leaving only the juicy, tasty ginger!

Save time with steaming

Save valuable minutes when getting food on the table. Steam your veggies over the pan you are using to cook potatoes, rice or other grains, saving water, energy and time!

Sear vegetables

Get the very best out of your veggies. Heat your frying pan until very hot before adding your sliced veg. This will sear the vegetables, caramelising them and concentrating flavour.

Add garlic near the end

Make garlic taste as good as it can be! Add crushed or chopped garlic towards the end of cooking. This will give garlic time to cook and soften its harsh bite without burning it.

Season to taste

Food needs salt to bring out its flavours. Taste the food before serving and adjust the seasoning if the flavours aren’t quite coming together. If you’re looking for a salt-free flavour boost, try adding a splash of vinegar or citrus juice, a sprinkle of spice or some fresh herbs.
